Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Don't come here for food, come for variety. The place is a bit run down, signs off aging however the food and the crowd are like lively. Really nice to hang out with family. Huge space. The parking is outside which shouldn't be an issue."
"It's an amazing place for probably the best value buffet and probably the cheapest buffet in the city. So much food for so little price. And the quality of food is above average. Freshly cooked and topped up as needed. Different prices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Come early as the queue do tend to build up from packaged tour groups. When I was here, had the pleasure to meet the boss who was really hands on supervising and managing the place. Such an amazing person. I would strongly suggest for visitors to sit inside because the tables outside, many people would just smoke non-stop and disregard for others."
"Lunch Buffet opens at 12, can come by 12.30 still fine. There were lots of varieties of lauk. The roti capati/naan was made fresh and hot. 3 types of drinks. Food was nice la but not amazing. Overall satisfied and very worth RM15."
"Me and some friends went for lunch at NAAN Corner Restaurant MR BOOM 1983 two Sundays ago. It's a place near where I stay about 7-8 minutes drive from my house. It's a place that's been open for a couple of years now but we've never been there so we decided to give this place a try. I ordered their Nasi Briyani with chicken. I was in the mood for some curry and rice and this plate really hit the spot. The rice was fragrant and had a nice balance of spices. The spices weren't overpowering but at the same time wasn't under flavored as well. It was just perfect and the chicken curry made it all even more decadent and delicious. The curry flavor was so flavorful and everything you want in a curry - creamy, thick and lush, slightly spicy, and packed full of flavor. It had a hint of sourness that was citrusy that was a very nice note to the curry too. The chicken was tender and also came with some potatoes and a hard-boiled egg which was really good with the curry as well. My mum ordered a dish called 'Roti Cheese' which is a griddle fried dough that is filled with mozzarella cheese. A fusion dish of Malaysian and Italian that's very unique. It was decent and had lots of cheese and the curry for dipping that comes with it was very delicious as well. We shared this dish with our friends and it is a nice sharing dish to get. Another dish which she ordered for herself was a 'Beef Murtabak'. It is also a 'roti' but is stuffed with beef curry and it had chickpeas which is quite unique and a first for us eating 'murtabak' that was stuffed with chickpeas. The filling was very generous and gave you a feeling that it's a very luxurious version of a humble 'murtabak'. For my drink, I ordered 'Teh Ice' which is iced milk tea. On the menu it showed choices of small or large but the waiter didn't ask us when ordering and we also didn't bother mentioning what size we wanted. It came in a jug and I thought it was good value for money but it turns out it was a large size and that's what they charged us. So if you're ordering the drinks, remember to specify your preference and what you want or by default I guess they'll be serving you your drink in a jug. Overall it was a nice place and the environment together with the food is a worthwhile place to visit. I particularly recommend the Nasi Briyani simply because it was the one I enjoyed the most and would go back just for that."
"When i read the review there are mostly negative. For me Rm15 is a win win situation. Its not expensive also although the food is normal. Even when we go normal restaurant its also cost nearly Rm10+ here is only Rm15.90 is affordable with variety. Environment ok for me and a lot of seating staff also nice and even taking photo. And got ikan bakar. Even outside ikan bakar almost Rm10-Rm15 each. Just take as much as you can. Price reasonable and nothing to complain. Maybe those who complain go high end place. Saw dedicated staff who always clean uo the desk after customer ate food. Good job and im prefer to put at the bin myself after consume. Well, nothing to complaing and definitely recommended although this is my first time come here. Rm15+ only mah, nothing to complain also"
"Tried the RM7 buffet on Sunday. I just can't believe this place exists in KL. They should open a branch elsewhere at a more needy population with that kind of price. People seem obsessed with their roti boom and have a long queue. I enjoyed other stuff though. Anyhow this place is simply amazing."
"Best all you can eat lunch buffet for only 15 ringgit! Like in all buffets some food is great some is so so depending on your taste! But overall worth it for the price! If you in Kuala Lumpur have to come here least once! Dinner buffet is also 20 ringgit and they have breakfast buffet too!"
"Do come here on weekends and public holidays for their breakfast buffets for just RM7! Other than the fried noodles which tasted rather meh, the rest on the buffet is served fresh, hot and tastes delicious. High variety of carbs, but low variety on proteins (chicken and eggs). The ambience is great too. Suitable and highly recommended for families! The place can be quite packed because the buffet price is such a steal!"
